Bag for university?

I need a cute bag to use for college. I am going to use a tote for sure (I think backpacks are bizarre and I have a hurt shoulder, so I can't use them anyway). I want to get a few of them, too. I don't approaching the Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, etc. ones, though. My style is more "preppy classic" than anything else. With cost, since I want to get a lot of them, I don't want any over $400 (under $200 would be preferable, but $400 is okay if it is really cute). Any design?
