so much better than a powder blush..
a really great facial moisturizer!
I LOVE lancome photogenic concealer. I use the correctuer color, but it is currently a last phone call shade. It covers great. The only time I would really use a different concealer is if I had a big pimple and later I would use the green maybelline concealer stick because the green neutralizes the redness of the pimple and make it much less noticable. Covergirl lash exact mascara is a great mascara. It works much better than most lower cost mascaras do because it doesn't clump like so various mascaras do. I think everygirl should have a nice big powder brush too. I enjoy a maybelline powder/face brush I believe. Using it to apply blush makes a more natural look. Also, the classic chapstick. I almost other put chapstick on before I put on lipstick in charge to keep the lipstick from feathering.
Every girl should have these essentials within their makeup bag!

1. tweezers- if eyes are the windows to the soul, brows are the curtains. well-groomed brows are essential to a polished frontage. tweezerman is the best in the business $20.
2. blotting papers- even dry skin can get shiney. use oil-absorbing sheets to pat away grease and shine rather than caking on more powder. try verbs 'n clear $5.
3. concealer- a perfectly-matched medium-to-full coverage conclear is a must to cover blemishes, scars, dark circles, etc. apply next to a brush, sponge, or fingers. i'm loyal to merle norman cover up $12 in 14 shades and 4 color-correcting shades.
4. foundation and/or powder- pick a formula, finish, and coverage that is right for you. other look for oil-free products that are nonacnegenic and noncomedogenic. test several types (liquid, cream, powder, mousse, mineral, etc) to find what works for you, and make sure it matched impeccably. a good "base" sets the "foundation" for all other makeup. flawless finish is a must. lancome and clinique submit a nice variety of foundations from $16-45.
5. lash curler- traditional or heated (my fave), a lash curler is essential to creating lush lashes that make for fabulous fringe. avon have a heated one for $10.
6. black mascara- no matter what you may have hear, anyone can wear black mascara and look great. nothing beats vast black lashes for any look from soft and feminine to bold and sultry. pick a formula: curling, lengthening, or volumizing (my fave) to get the effect you desire. after trying over 20 types of mascara from various brands, my all-time favorite is dupe make it big in raven (black) $6...vast dark black that volumizes and defines.
7. lip color- add footnotes to or stick, or both. your best bet is to have one great lip color that is a nice nude/neutral for everyday, and one specifically bold and dramatic for special occasions. a good lip balm is also needed to uphold moisture. stila $20, mark $5, lancome $15, mac $15, and sephora $10 are all great comment on brands.
8. brushes- no woman should go without these essential 5: powder, blush, dense shadow, crease, and eyeliner. other brushes such as foundation, concealer, lip and nouns and such are also nice, but those are necessary for a basic frontage. many people find foundation and concealer brushes too fussy and prefer sponges, and lip and nouns are not often used by the everyday gal. some of my favorite brushes come from palladio $8-28, merle norman $7-32, and estee lauder $14-50.
other products such as shadows, liners, and blushes give somebody a lift second seat to the products i mentioned. many younger women do not wear blush, tons older women do not wear shadows, etc. formulas and finishes vary too much for desired effects, and taste change as trends do. but a basic obverse with a nice even skin tone, pretty lashes, and glossy orifice never goes out of style.
