Is it possible to plan a tote pod so everything is not cluttered at the bottom?

I just bought the cutest tote bag from victoria restricted it says think green live pink. It is soo cute. I thought it would be devout for summer since so I could carry a water botle things to get to the pool ect. But, how do you organize it so you can find the small stuff such as house key breed up, pen, mirror ect.
