What considerate of shoulder bag should I bring?

I need a bag for conservatory (not a backpack, because they aren't allowed at my school), but I can't find any that would work. It needs to be able to pass some books and folders, but not look frumpy and cheap. I saw this amazing Miu Miu bag that would work perfectly, but I don't hold $1000! Does anyone know a particular bag that would work, or a company that make decent ones that I can afford?

Why on earth are backpack not allowed at your school?
Backpacks are better for you as anything that go across your body or is carried on one shoulder is back for your back and posture. I remember when I be at school I wanted a satchel really scantily, but my school encourage backpack. I got the satchel anyway, and then suffered really unpromising shoulder and neck pain for two years back I eventually gave in.

If you are carrying stout books, carry them in a shopper, which you can hold within your hand, rather than something you hold on your shoulder. Something like this is cool for books:

You can use a tote pouch.Victoria's secret has them at the Pink store.For Love 21(accessory store for Forever 21) also have cute totes.Journey's also has cute ones too.I use one from VS and it hasn't failed me on the other hand!
