i got one and its perfect for anything! You can tote your books around or a towel and its even nice for going out near just lip gloss and you wallet contained by it.:)
But the one problem- its also very nice for my dog's teething problem- so I might have to replace it.

Lands End has several cute, inexpensive ($15-$40) totes. They holds alot of stuff and can double as a book bag when arts school starts. It is very sturdy and should last you the entire year!! Keep contained by mind that the canvas (white) WILL get dirty the more you clutch it in and out of you car, the sand, etc. But they have color ones as well... within different sizes!! I highly recommend a Vera Bradley Bag. They are awesome, and use them for institution and the beach! They have adjectives different sorts of sizes AND colors. They are a little expensive but are a great investment because they last forever and are wonderfully made. When they get dirty you can put them in the washer too. Here is the website. I recommend the "Vera" size. I can fit adjectives my books in it. Plus there are pockets inside for your cell phone. I also suggest the Pink Elephants Pattern, I LOVE IT.
